Bluekap Properties was built on a strong foundation of legal and property expertise, established by long-time business partners Ruven Kaplan and the late Derek Blumberg. Their partnership, which began in 1975, spanned over four decades and played a key role in shaping the business until Derek’s passing in 2020.

Following Derek’s passing, Ruven Kaplan transitioned out of the business, disposing of his shareholding in 2023 to Stratcap Funding (Pty) Ltd, a company that forms part of the True Group. This strategic move brought new energy and expanded resources to Bluekap, reinforcing our commitment to excellence in property management.

Today, Bluekap Properties is managed by Hendré Schoeman, a qualified Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in the property sector. Hendré brings financial insight and leadership to the business, continuing the legacy of integrity, professionalism, and personal service for which Bluekap is known.
